Dried figs – 2 cups
Khoya- 1 cup
Cardamom powder- half teaspoon
Sugar- half cup
Cashews- 6-7
Almonds- 5-6
Raisins-8-10
Pistachios-5-6
Saffron- optional
Pure Ghee- 2-3

How to make Fig Halwa
First of all pour water in a bowl. Cut all the dried figs into small pieces and dip them in water. Leave it like this for 2 to three hours until it becomes soft. When the dried figs become soft, drain the water and put it in the mixer. Grind it well and make a paste. Now keep a pan or wok on the gas. Add 3 tablespoons ghee in it and heat it. Add fig paste to it and fry. After cooking for 8-10 minutes, add khoya to it. Keep stirring on low flame. After cooking for 5 minutes, add sugar to it. Finely chop all dry fruits like cashews, almonds, pistachios or grind them lightly. Add it to the pudding and mix. Add raisins also. Cook the halwa until it becomes dry. Now add cardamom powder to it and turn off the gas. Take it out in a bowl. You can garnish with some more dry fruits of your choice. Delicious dried fig halwa is ready to eat.
